Interpretation of Claddagh;

Love: As the heart is a symbol of love, you may wear the pendant to represent love for a partner, family member, friend, beloved pet or even yourself.

Friendship: Since the hands signify friendship, you can wear the pendant to indicate friendship .

Loyalty: As the crown implies loyalty, you may wear the pendant to signify loyalty or commitment to your family, friends, partner or loyal pet.

Every pendant can be customised by choosing your own colour selection and maybe adding a little sparkle or you could decide to stay completely natural and use only ashes or hair/fur with a clear base. Simply look at the photos containing the colour options and select the number/s that matches your preferred choice.

Ash colour can be light in colour right through to black so all end products will vary. However, the results will always be a stunning and truly memorable piece.

Upon completion of your order, a kit will be posted to you, providing instructions on how to send your ashes, hair or fur and more info on your order.

This will also include a small 'example' stone in your chosen colour/s so that you will get an idea of how your finished piece may look and change it if you wish.

Please note that each colour is hand mixed so your final piece could vary very slightly from your sample.

I will send you a photo of your stone with inclusions for colour reference so that you can ensure the colour is correct. In order to keep within the order lead time if I do not hear back from you to approve the colour within 48hours of receipt I will use my discretion and create your final piece.
Shipping will comprise of two parts.

I will initially send you individual pots for you to return your inclusions along with an order confirmation form and instructions for how to send your inclusions. This form will also contain QR codes to FAQs and Terms and Conditions which can also be found on the website. This must be signed and returned along with your inclusions to process your order. Further instructions can also be added here for any additional specifications for your piece alongside any extra information you wish to share about your loved one or pet in order for me to get a clearer picture of their character and personality whilst i create your piece.

After completing your item I will then send it to you alongside your remaining inclusions, a certificate of authenticy and your pocket hug. This will be shipped to you via Royal Mail Tracked 48hour with signature to ensure it arrives to you safely.

Trace chains, charms, pendants and all fixings purchased from Luna's Legacy are made from 925 sterling silver, a beautiful precious metal that does need a little love and care to keep it at its best.

Tarnish is caused by a reaction with sulphur that naturally occurs in the air. Tarnished silver will turn a darkish grey-black colour and is most easily removed when it first becomes visible. Sterling silver will naturally tarnish with exposure to the air, environment, perfumes, moisturisers, hairspray, soaps and perspiration etc. These are obviously a fact of life so regular cleaning will help keep your silver sparkling.

Water

Do NOT submerge your piece of jewellery in water, SO please remember to remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, or washing up etc. Particularly avoid wearing your jewellery in saltwater to prevent tarnishing. Should your jewellery get wet use a soft lint free, non-abrasive cloth to completely dry to prevent scratches

Exercising

Remove your jewellery before excising to prevent snagging or snapping

Sunlight

Store your jewellery out of direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the silver to tarnish

Chemicals

Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. This includes antibacterial hand sanitiser, perfumes, hairspray, toothpaste, cleaning solutions, nail polish remover and chlorine etc.

Storage

Store you jewellery out of direct sunlight, somewhere cool, dark and moisture free. A good place would be in the jewellery box provided or a small zip lock bag or soft pouch.

Resin jewellery is hard-wearing but to get the best out of your pieces and ensure that they last a lifetime please try to adhere to the following advice. This will keep your pieces looking their best and save your having to pay for the resin jewellery to be replaced. Some resin jewellery clients don’t follow the instructions and their pieces are fine, but it is best to be on the safe side. The instructions are the same for epoxy and UV based pieces, however all products that I make will be UV resin.

Scrapes

· Try to avoid bumping and scratching your piece as this could damage it. Avoid using tools and doing manual work with the piece on.

Water

· Do NOT submerge your piece of jewellery in water. Resin is NOT waterproof, only water resistant. SO please remember to remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, or washing up etc.

Heat

· If your piece is exposed to big temperature fluctuations, it might expand and contract which can cause the elements inside to separate.

Sunlight

· Store your jewellery out of direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the resin to discolour and soften.

Smoking

· If your piece is in regular contact with smoke it will usually yellow. However, some wearers of resin jewellery that do smoke and have worn their pieces for years have not seen discolouration.

Chemicals

· Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. This includes antibacterial hand sanitiser, perfume, hair spray, cleaning solutions, nail polish remover and chlorine etc.

When Resin Jewellery Care Has Been Forgotten

I ask clients to retain elements such as cremation ashes and fur because it makes a remake possible if needed. If you have not retained the elements, I may not be able to remake your item. Please note however that a remake will NOT be identical to your initial product as all items are unique. A charge will be incurred for any remakes.

Yellowing

· Yellowing is almost always due to resin care rather than the brand of resin. The resin I use is of high quality and should not yellow if it is cared for properly.

Dullness and Scratches

· If your piece has dulled or has been scratched or scraped, I can add a new topcoat layer. This will be for a small fee plus postage.
